I am trying to determine if Darius "Dee" Butler [s/o Gov. David Christy Butler & Lydia Storey] fathered a son named Clyde D. Butler. One of Clyde's daughters remembers her father saying that he had a great-grandfather who was govenor of Nebraska.

Of David & Lydia's son, David Seth Butler indicates 1st marriage in 1910 census and Paul Butler would have been too young. Other researchers have George Butler d. 3 Mar 1864 Bloomington, Monroe County, IN and Ozias Butler d. 1883 <Pawnee City, Pawnee County, NE>. In the 1910 census, Darius indicated that his marriage to Alice McCurry was his 2nd marriage. Was his 1st marriage to Lettie Irene Butterfield? Did David or Darius father Clyde out of wedlock??? Did David & Lydia Butler have another son that was not previously mentioned?

Darius Butler would have been 17 & Lettie Irene Butterfield 16 when Clyde was conceived in 1890. I cannot find a marriage record. In the 1900 census, Lettie Butler and her son Clyde Butler are living with her parents, George Warren Butterfield and Caroline "Carrie" Adeline Springer. In the 1910 census, Clyde Butler is still living with his mom's parents.

Below is the information that I currently have on Clyde D. Butler.

I will greatly appreciate any information and / or corrections on the individuals listed below.
