Looking for parents of William R. JOHNSON born about 1834 in KY, probably in Carter county. He married Levisa "Vicy" WILLIAMS, daughter of George W. WILLIAMS, in December of 1852 in Carter co. KY. By 1860, William and Levisa were in Lewis county, KY. They moved to Jefferson county Kansas about 1869, where William died in 1892.
William may have had a sister named Sarah who married William A. LANSDOWN OR LANDSDOWN in 1853 Carter co. KY. Wm & Sarah LANSDOWN migrated to Jefferson county Kansas about 1873. Sarah LANDSDOWN died in Douglas co. KS on 4 Nov. 1887. Does any one have access to obituaries or death records for 1887 Douglas co. KS? Maybe it would give Sarah's parents names.
A Catherine JOHNSON married Wm. SEGRAVES in 1854 in the home of Lavisa WILLIAM'S father G. W. WILLIAMS in Carter co KY with William R. JOHNSON as a witness. Is Catherine a sister to Wm. R. Johnson ?
