John Christopher Emmett married Emily Elizabeth Gilbert in Lambeth, Surrey, Englnd, in March of 1854. They had a daughter, Eliza Lambeth Emmett in June of 1857, in Weymouth, England. Their next child, Hattie, was born abt 1858 in Lawrence, Douglas, Kansas, followed by Georgia abt 1860 and Carrie abt 1863. Hattie married Frank T Chadwick, (b. abt 1851 in NH) in Douglas(?) Kansas probably before 1875.
They must have emigrated between 1857-1858. Any info greatly welcomed. Anyone have access to a census in England between 1850-1857? John Christopher born abt 1831, Emily abt 1832.
Happy to share info on descendants or reciprocate with a US Census Lookup.
