Seeking to verify that a Moses Edward KING wed a Minnie DOWDALL in Lawrence, KS while both atteneded the Haskell Indian School there. Have received records from the National Archives in Wash, DC that state Minnie was "a girl from Oklahoma". I know Moses Edward KING to have been a member of the Oneida Indian tribe from Wisconsin. He attended the Haskell School at Lawrence. I had thought Minnie to have been from Jersey Co., IL via KY. Her mother was a ROUNTREE/ROUNDTREE. Minnie was also classified Amer. Indian tho not Onieda. I believe this Indian descent was via her mother.Perhaps Minnie also attended the Haskell school? Finding a marriage record in Lawrence, Douglas Co., KS seems a good bet! I'm looking for a Random Act of Gen Kindness from someone in Douglas Co. with access to marriage records from circa 1900. Can you help me, please? Thanks, Karen Nelson Hangsleben Notify Administrator about this message?
