George Miller was a farmer in wolf river Doniphan co Kansas in early 1900 possibly from 1890 or? His wife Mary Stamm Miller was my fathers aunt Rebecca Marys mother lived there from about 1893 with her daughter Florence who was married to a man named Robert Hinchman, he was a baker in town. He shot and killed Florence in about 1904 or 05. My father was living with them in 1900 listed as Randall Stamm age 11. His brother Boyd was listed living with his aunt Mary . I found Boyd again in 1910 working as a hired hand with Devereux family still wolf river. I found Boyds enlistment paper for ww1 in 1917 and he was killed in 1918 and is buried in France. My father dosnt showup again until 1934 in Gilpin co co. and his name is now Murphy. My theory is that he went to live with someone name Murphy in or near wolf river after the death of his aunt Florence.
please help if you can ernie@inlandnet.com
