I am trying to find information about my great-great grandfather John Henry Scheid, b. Jan 1852, that was listed as living in Doniphan County on the 1880 census. He was married to a woman named Charlotte, b. Feb. 1852, and they had 7 or 8 children. They are shown in Jackson County Kansas on the 1900 census. I am trying to find information about his parents. I know that neither he nor Charlotte were born in America, they list their place of birth as Prussia on the census. He came to the US in 1867 and she in 1875. Any help that anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.
