Below is a copy of a guardian bond with a P.L. Montgomery and a P.M. Montgomery for guardianship of Hattie A. Thomas.
It was in the file with other papers. Nothing about her parents. If you know anything about these people, please let me know. Thank you.

Guardian Bond.
Know all Men by these Presents:
That we, P. L. Montgomery as principals,
and P. M. Montgomery
as sureties, are held and firmly bound unto the State of Kansas in the
sum of One Hundred Dollars
to the payment of which sum, well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves,
our heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, firmly by these presents,
sealed with our seals, and dated this 15th day of November A.D. 1879.
The condition of the above obligation is such that, whereas, the said
P. L. Montgomery has been, by Probate Court
of Cloud County, Kansas, duly appointed Guardian of the
person and estate of
Hattie A. Thomas minor
Now, if said P. L. Montgomery shall faithfully discharge
the duties of such Guardian according to the law, then this obligation to be null
and void, else of full force and effect.

The above bond taken and approved by me, this 15th day
of November A.D. 1879

faithfully, and to the best of my ability, discharge the duties of Guardian
of the person and estate of Hattie A. Thomas .
