I am looking for any descendants of Lewis and Paulina Root. According to the 1880 US Census they were living in 1st Ward, Fort Scott, Kansas. Lewis was 51 years old, born in NY. Paulina was also 51 b. in VA Two children listed: Katie age 28 and James 23. All indicators point to Paulina as being the sister of my ggggrandfather who married Lewis Root on Jan. 1, 1850 in Kanawha County, WV. Any help appreciated.
