hello,
a few months ago you answered to a message that I posted at this forum. I answered that the persons you mentioned were no from my family. Sorry. I was wrong!

I was irritated by the names; meanwhile I did some more researches and got more informations.
You gave me the names of following 2 persons:
- Geske MEYER, born 21 march 1873
- Fred MEYER, born 28 dec. 1857

Fred Meyer was the americanized form to write his name. The german spelling was "Focke Peter Meyer". The date of birth matches to my informations.

Geske Meyer: here I made a mistake; I always looked for a Geske Siefkes. but this was here maiden name. The date of birth is correct. She married Gerd Jelschen Meyer; his name probably was changed to "George Meyer". He is mentioned with his name in german spelling in the obituary of his brother Johann Focken Meyer, who died in Haviland in 1930.
Finally I looked for the wrong persons at the right place.

Gerd Jelschen Meyer was born 15 april 1871 in Germany. I don=B4t know when he immigrated to US.
Geske Siefkes, married Meyer, his wife, was born 21 march 1873.

Focke Peter Meyer = Fred Meyer, born 28 dec. 1857, came to US in 1883. He was married to Anna Cathrina Bruns(s)en, born 25 sept. 1853 in Germany, too.

Could you please have a look for these persons? I am interested in informations about where they lived, date of marriage or death, names of children a.s.o. Do you know if there are living descendants? If there are, I could try to get in contact to change and to share informations. I can trace back the family lines till about 1600.

Thank you for helping! Im looking forward to your answer.
