I have Whaleys from Tennessee that married my Hewletts & Hillhouses et al in Lawrence County MO. after the County was formed in 1845. Seth, Thomas B Whaley (BP-TN) are found in Mt Pleasant & Mt Vernon Townships, Lawrence Co. 1860 Census.
Calloway and Lawrence County are relatively in SW Missouri?
I checked the 1860 MO Census and found your Elias B as an infant of 4/12 in Calloway Co. MO along with his parents and older sister Nancy age 2. (Series M653, Roll 610, Pg 937, Line 1, Household 1085).
Calloway, George 29, Farmer, BP - KY, Calloway Co. MO
Elizabeth 23, BP Va Housewife
Nancy Dau 2 BP Mo
Elias B Son 4/12 BP Mo
I'm curious to know whether your Whaleys also shows 2 more Whaleys in Calloway County MO as born in Virginia, Benedict, age 54 and David L age 57. Couldn't one of these be George's parents and the 2 Virginia Whaleys be brothers or cousins that migrated west from Virginia when they settled 1855-1860 in Calloway County via Kentucky?
Since George L Whaley was born in Kentucky, could his father have been Benedict or David who were born in Virginia? George's wife Eizabeth is shown as born in Virginia?
Just wanted to know whether your KS/MO/KY Whaleys are related to my TN/MO Whaleys and be originally from Virginia?
