Hello Nancy
I know you posted your message a long time ago but, I thought I would let you know that I have a very old poster that shows Will D. Saphar, German Volunteer. I think it was a play. There are two pictures of a man, under one it says "I Vas Glad" and the other, "I Vas Mad". I was just looking on the internet to see how to clean up or restore the poster and find details of what it is about. I have not found much info on Will D. Saphar other than he appeared in some plays in the midwest. I found these old posters under a stairwell in my old house...they were lining a coal bin many years ago so the posters are very dirty but mostly intact. Just thought you'd like to know.
