I have some additional details on the above families and would like to learn more and will exchange information. Seeking the parents of Benjamin Isaac (1822-1889) and Mary R. HALLETT (1826-1900) also. They were brother and sister: Benj born CT(?) and Mary born NY.
Smith and wife Mary R. traveled with brother Albert Keeler (and family) to Blount County, Tennessee in 1860. Albertís family returned to NY but eventually west agaom and settled in Allen County, Kansas. Benjamin and wife Mary (Keeler) Hallett went west and were with Smith Keeler in Illinois in 1865, they traveled through Iowa, then to Allen County Kansas (a hiatus there in 1869), finally homesteading in Howell County, Missouri.
Albert and wife Amanda (ODELL) Keeler died in Allen County and were buried in Iola Cemetery (Can anyone confirm thier burial in this cemetery?). Albert died in 1875 and Amanda after 1875. When did Amanda die? They had a farm in Allen County that appears to have barely survived Albert's probate. They had issue:
Wm Henry b.1848 married Mary C. Norris in 1869.
Sarah Jane b.1850 married Wm Henry Fry.
Mary Augusta b.1852 married Charles E. Clement.
Fernando Samuel Dauchy b.1855 married Mrs.Cary J. Douglas in Howell Co, MO in 1889.
In 1874 Samuel died in Allen County, Kansas on a visit to son Albertís and Samuel was supposedly buried in the Iola Cemetery, Allen County (can anyone confirm his burial?). Sally survived him but when did she die? I cannot locate Samuel and/or Sally in the 1860 census: Does anyone have the census information for Samuel and Sally Keeler? Does anyone have any probate information for Samuel and/or Sally? I look forward to hearing from you.
