I'm researching my Prather family. I just received a letter stating that my Gr. Great Grandparents,Marshall & Susan Prather, as well as my great Grandfather, James Gish Prather, were living in Elm Township, Allen County on the 1900 Census. As follows...

born MO...father MO...mother MO...day laborer
...Susan..wife..Oct 1838..age 61..mother of 1/1 living(?)
born..KY..father KY..mother KY
...James..son Feb. 1860..age 40..widow..born MO..father MO
...Ralph..grandson..Dec. 1893..age 6..born KS..father MO
These records differ from what I have.
Marshall Prather born in KY
parents: John & Zillah (howell) Prather..both born in KY
Susan A. (Finley) born in IL
Marshall & Susan were married on Jan. 25, 1857 in Linn Co.MO
James birth date(from his death certificate) 1-11-1861
Ralph was a son of James' first marriage to:
James Gish Prather (31) & Daisy Grant (26)
married: Dec. 8, 1892
in Garnett Anderson County, KS
groom from Blue Mound, KS
bride from Garnett, KS
James married my Great Grandmother, Anna Hayes. When and where?? They had two, possibly three children.
(1)- Reba B. Prather b. 1906 (my grandmother)
(2)- Cloyce Prather b. 1907
(3)?- J. G. Prather (infant)died in 1910
is buried in the Sunny Side Cemetery in Caney, Kansas
Reba B. Prather married my Grandfather, Mack G. Looper in 1924 in Caney, KS. My dad, Mack Looper Jr. was born in Caney, in 1925. Three months later, everyone except James moved to Ohio. James and Anna were divorced.
I'm trying to find any information of these families that I can. Such as, birth date, death dates, burial dates and cemeteries, where and who Anna Hayes parents were and from?and so on...any info would greatly be appreciated. Thanks, Dale Looper
