Thanks Beth, since posting my last message I have discovered that my Gt Gt Gt Grandfather a Wilhelm Hinrick Kruck left the Essen area of Germany in 1838 and came to England.I have been told one of his relatives moved to USA. I still have lots of research to do, however, if you hear of a connection your end I would really appreciate hearing from you. Best regards;-) PS I have a second cousin called Michael Kruck in England!!
