I have a large bundle of what I believe are Krouse family pictures - 55 in all. They were taken by photographers in Holgate, Tiffin, Attica, and Deshler, Ohio - also a few from Avilla, Indiana. They were all in an old family album. On the back of one of the photos is the name H.F. Krouse, and "St.Stephens P.Office, 6 1/2 mile Swest of Attica" - the portrait is of a bewhiskered old fellow with his wife. On another is the name Charlie Krouse, and states "Taken Mar.7, 1915, age 17 yr. 6 mo. 22 da." Those are the only names that appear on any of the photos, which are many and varied. Most of them are the typical studio portraits of the era, with cardboard backing - many generations of a large, handsome family.
