I am sorry to say that I have no further information for you. I did however find your story to be fascinating. I am a Kromer, although I was adopted when I was 8weeks old. The reason I am replying to you is this. In my entire extended family of Kromers, most of us, including myself, are teachers. I live in Michigan along with many other Kromers. I will see in the next few months if I can find some information for you, as I am know compelled to know more too. Good luck on your search.
