Otillie Kromer is also my great grandmother. I have a very complete Muehl family history but unfortunately it starts with Jakob and Otillie (Kromer) Muehl and I have no information prior to that. I do know that Anton Kromer was a son that was brought into the marriage. I also know that Martin Muehl was born in Palesnik, but Jakob, Matthew, Mary and Elizabeth were born in Zomba, Hungary which is quite a distance from Palesnick. There must be some reason for them being in Zomba. Maybe someone in Zomba, Hungary has some information on Otillie Kromer. My grandfather was the second Muehl son, Jakob. He lived in Palenik before immigrating to the US on two separate occasions. So after living in Zomba, they must have moved back to Palesnik at some point in time.
I had no idea that Jakob and Otillie ever came to America until I read this posting. Thanks for sharing that.
My Muehl Family History is kind of sketchy on the descendants of Anton Kromer. You (Joan) are in this Muehl family history along with the names of your 4 children, but I have nothing beyond that. Would you be willing to provide some additional detailed information on the Anton Kromer descenants if I contacted you by email?
