Hello. I am related by way of Jacob's son Christian, as is Herb. I have seen Catherine's last name as Marth/Morth. Ken says it is Morth, the History of Westmoreland Co. says it is Marth.
I would be interested in sharing some information if you would, but not online.
Another distant relative said that Lorrintz in more like Laurentz. I have also been told that where your grgr died(Echbourgh) or something like that, is about 15 miles away from Laurentz. The former town is where he went to see friends.
Nick's body was returned to this country and re-interred in Fayette County, PA.
I know I have the spelling wrong, but his last name is Schraishahn and he is listed in this very genforum and he gave me this info about the towns/country. Some said Germany, some said France.
