The only info I have is based on my grandfather and some immigration forms that I have found. His name was originally spelt Kral but somewhere in the 1920's or so after coming to USA it became Krol. An Aunt (his daughter) said she knew it was originally Kral, meaning King. He was from a town that became a part of Czechoslovakia, now part of Slovakia.
