Hi everyone, I've been away from genealogy for a few years but I'm still looking for the relatives of my grandmother, Edith Krohn Schanche. She was either the daughter of Henninge Krohn Schanche, who came to the US in the 1880's or the daughter of Henninge's adopted brother, Petter Fredrik Balle Hoem Krohn, who died in Oslo around 1900. I'm told that Petter's son Rolf came to Canada about that time and one of his descendents, Michelle was looking for Petter's birthparents. Unfortunately, she has changed her email address. I also recognize a lot of the Norway Krohn first names like Albert, Joachim, Carl, etc. from the book about the Schanches, Krohns, Garmanns and Hopstocks. It seems like more than a cooincidence. Anyway, Petter was Jewsih and may have had a mistress who was my grandmother's birth mother. All info appreciated. Tak, RC
