My name is Inez Gardner nee Kriplean
Kriplean is a variation of Kroeplin or Kroepelin. I have seen it spelled about 25 different ways including Kroblin and Kreplin. My great grandfather came from Mecklenburg Schwerin before 1854. The name seems to be quite common in Mecklenburg.
