I don't think there's a connection, although one can never be entirely sure. I have the genealogical record of Johann Christian Ludwig Kroeger from his birth in Daetgen, Holstein through his immigration to Louisville, and his marriage and life there, with most of his descendents known to me. I can account for all of them, and I don't find anyone who settled in the Cincinnati/Covington area.
