Janet,
Not sure if this fits your family, except for the Sanilac Co. MI connection:
Margaret Kriner is buried at Tucker Cem. in Sanilac Co. Her son-in-law, Benjamin Brown, is also buried there. Her dau. Mary Matilda/Mathilda Kriner married Benjamin Brown about 1870; we have no info about the death or burial place for Matilda. Matilda is shown in the 1910 census of Sanilac County as Mrs. Ben Brown, and Margaret Criner is shown in the household.
They had 7 children and are related to my Cooley family of Sanilac. Benj. and Matilda's dau. Mary married James K. Cooley, also of Sanilac. Benjamin Brown's brother, James, married James K. Cooley's sister, Harriett.
James and Benjamin Brown were both born in Ontario. James and Harriett Cooley were born in Michigan, but their parents were born in Canada.
(I'm a GGrandaughter of James Brown and Harriett Cooley.)
