Irene, Thanks so much for making this connection. I see that Casper and wife Barbara (Mary B) in the 1840, 1850, and 1860 census of Jackson Twp., Monroe Co. Son Christopher (Christian?) and wife Eva are in the 1870 census in Snadusky, Jefferson Co., Ohio. It looks like they moved to Kansas about 1873.
I have also been able to follow some of the other children in the census, and see that Mary Barbara Walter was living with son Henry Walter and family in Benton Twp., Monroe Co., in 1880. Do you know when Casper Walter and Maria Barbara were married? Or where? How was it established that she was a Krieg?
It is intersting that Maria Barbara's brother John Krieg, married an Elizabeth Walter in Beuren in Wurttemberg in 1830. I wonder of Casper was also from Beuren.
