I just found your message about Joseph Krieg. My husband is descended from Joseph's brother Frederick, who went by the name of Frederick Greek. I have a copy of the baptismal record of the Reformed Church Book from the History of Schaefferstown, PA and it states Joseph born October 31, parents Elias and Anna Maria Krick. His sponsor was his mother. That is on page 152 of the History book.
I have another reference to a microfilm of the Heidelberg Congregation in Schaefferstown, Lebanon County, PA that states: Elias Krieg and Anna Maria, son Joseph b Oct 30, 1797, bp May 2, 1801, sponsor, the mother. I haven't seen this microfilm yet.
