Conrad Kress of Louisville, Kentucky
Looking for information about Conrad Kress of Louisville, Kentucky. My ancestor, George Lambertus, worked for Conrad.George's wife's maiden name was Kress.(Katherine Kress)Because of that, there may be a relation between the two.Conrad was a cigar maker, and is listed in the 1870 Census as being from Hamburg. He died some time between 1886-1890 in Louisville. His wife was named Jennie (Jenny) and is listed as "widow of Conrad" in the 1890 City Directory. The census records list them as having daughters named Minnie, Emma, and Helen.I have also found through the Cave Hill Cemetery database that they are buried in Cave Hill.Anyone have any information on these people?
