To any or all here: I have 3 questions
Hi. My name is Sue. I am searching my German great-grandparents' lines. My great-grandmother's maiden name was Krisch and I am having trouble finding much information here or in Germany. She was born in East Prussia and came to the US in 1893 along with her mother, sister, husband, and young son. So I am just curious:
1. Is "Kresge" possibly a German name?
2. How is it pronounced? I noticed one posting that had it beginning with a "G".
3. Could it be possible that you may have had ancestors that changed their surname to Kresge somewhere down the line, either here in the US or elsewhere?
Thanks for any answers and help you can give. Sue
