Albert Kreps and Annie/Anna Smith of Clinton, Iowa.

Looking for parents of Albert Kreps, later Krebs. In 1910, living in Clinton, Iowa. Born in Pennsylvania abt. 1851 and parents born in Pennsylvania. Probably of German descent, but not sure. Married to Anna / Annie Smith in Scott Co., Iowa in 1875. Annie/Anna born in Illinois, father in Pennsylvania and mother in Maryland (also lookin for her parents). Cannot find anything on their family between marriage and 1910, even though Anna/Annie had 16 children (12 survived). Children include Ruth, William A., Charles M., Harry, Blanch, Lilian, Orville, and Eva.

I have a suspicion that Albert is related to Joseph, John, and/or William Kreps of Fulton and Carroll Counties, Illinois. They were from Franklin County, Pennsylvania, but were in Illinois by 1870. In Illinois, they lived close to Joseph and Martha Smith, parents of an Anna Smith, who has the right birth year to be wife of Albert Krebs. Also, Joseph and Martha Smith were from Washington Co., Maryland, adjacent to Franklin Co., Pa, where the Kreps came from. They may have come during the same migration.

If anyone could give me any clues on any of this, I would greatly appreciate it!
