I wonder if we are maiden name was Krecklau. My ancestors settled in MN. I have found numerous spellings on this name & wonder if all are related. The various spellings are: Kreklau; Kraklio; Kracklow; Kraklow; Kracklan, even Krakow. There are even variations in spelling my g-grandfather's name on US Census. He (Johann) emigrated to America with wife Justine (Kottke)in April, 1881. I would like to find out the name of his parents, even grandparents. They came from Zempelburg, W. Prussia, Germany on the last Sailing ship..Edina..from Hamburg, Germ. to NY after stopping in Scotland.
Thank you for any info provided.
