Hi, Judy.This is great to be in touch.Mary Josephine Nagel died last month.Here is the obituary:

"MARY JOSEPHINE NAGEL, 81, passed away Monday, June 4, 2001. Resident of El Paso 55 years. She taught music for 30 years at Zavala Elementary School. She was an avid gardner and loved all animals, classical music and Texas. Preceded in death by husband Anton E. Nagel. Mrs.Nagel will lie in state Thursday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home Central.Graveside Service will be held Friday at 9:00 A.M. at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the El Paso Zoological Society, 4001 E. Paisano, El Paso, TX 79905or the El Paso Audobon Society, P.O. Box 972441, El Paso, TX 79997."

She had had Alzheimer's for a number of years and had been in a nursing home.My mother was in contact with Mary's next door neighbor and would send small gifts to Mary via the neighbor who would take them to her.
I spoke with my mother and she added this information:
Daisy C. Krebs married Hugh Arnold.
Mary Josephine Arnold married Anton Evan Nagel.
Daisy had a sister named Frances [Krebs] who lived in California and she knew that Mary was in touch with Frances for many years because she heard Mary speak of her.
This is what I have in my notes for Ivar Knudson:

His naturalization took place on 10 March 1868 in the Circuit Court for [blank] County, Wisconsin.His name is listed as Iver Knudsen.Volume 1, p. 11.
In the 1860 census, he was listed as Iver Knutson, in the town of Irving, Jackson Co, Wisconsin, p. 1089, household 765/710.He is shown as a laborer and that he was born in Norway.His age is inexplicably shown as 45, when in fact he was 30.He lived between his neighbors John Johnson and Even Hanson for thirty years.
In the 1 June 1865 census of the town of Irving, Jackson Co, Wisconsin, he is listed as Iver Knudson, with 2 males and 3 females in his household.
In the 1870 census, he was listed as Ever Knuteson, in the town of Irving, Jackson Co, Wisconsin, p. 376, household 3/4.He is shown as a laborer and that he was born in Norway.The oldest child shown is daughter Julia, who is 12 years old and was born in Wisconsin, so he had been in Wisconsin since at least 1858.
In the 1880 census, he was listed as Iver Knudson, in the town of Franklin, Jackson Co, Wisconsin, p. 314, household 22.He is shown as a farmer and that he was born in Norway.His parents were both born in Norway.
His death is recorded in Jackson Co, Wisconsin, Volume 3, p. 199.He is listed as Iver Knudton.He is buried in the Pioneer Cemetery in Franklin, Jackson Co, Wisconsin.His tombstone shows Iver Knutson.
"This cemetery is all that remains to mark the place of the original Norwegian Lutheran Church.The congregation was organized in 1859.A small 20 x 30 foot log building was erected in 1861, it being the first Norwegian Lutheran Church in western Wisconsin.The church burned in the late 1860's.As the congregation had outgrown their present site, the new church was built where the Upper Beaver Creek Church is today.This old cemetery is acalm resting place for the early Norwegian settlers in the town of Franklin."

In the 1860 census, she is listed as Julia, but her age is inexplicably listed as 44, when in fact she was about 26.
In the 1870 census, she is listed as Julia.
In the 1880 census, she is listed as Gunvor.
Her death is recorded in Jackson Co, Wisconsin, Volume 4, p. 105.She is listed as Gunvor Knutson.
She is buried in the Pioneer Cemetery in Franklin, Jackson Co, Wisconsin.Her tombstone shows Gunvar Knutson.

Malinda Knudson (daughter of Ivar and Gunvar) was my great grandmother and I have more information on her and her descendants, if you'd like.
