Several years ago I visited Dudenhofen with a German professor of ophthalmology who had obtained my family tree including the oldest sons back to Hans Kratz, born in 1616. They included:
Hans Kratz Born 1616 Died 5-21-1688
Hans Wendel Kratz 7-2-1649 1-26-1731
Johann Wendel Kratz 1692
Johann Peter Kratz 10-26-1727 1-6-1841
Johannes Kratz 6-9-1802 12-30-1863
Peter Adam Kratz 2-22-1866 4-8-1919
Reginald Patrick Kratz 7-21-1989 4-6-1971
Richard Peter Kratz 5-23-1920
Alan Peter Kratz 9-12-1948
Kristian Peter Kratz 6-27-1979
If this group of ancestors is of interest to you, I can supply some additional information.
I have a book entitled "Dudenhofen, wie es einmal war" written by Manfred Resch of Dudenhofen, who is married to a Kratz. It is filled with old and new pictures of the local citizens and buildings.
