My ancestor
Friedrich Wilhelm Kranz (an undertaker & builder by trade) born in Hausdorf, Schlesian, Silesia (now Poland)
between the Oder and Neiss Rivers his father was Johann Gottlieb Kranz (carpenter by trade)
and mother was Rosa Hoffmeister
he was born on 28th July 1809 - died in Australia 22 June 1865
he married
Henriette Karoline Ludwig born Schwengfeldt 6th August 1818
- died in Australia 12 January 1904 before they came overseas they resided in Kauder = Kalczyna
Friedrich that I know of had a younger brother also called Johann Gottlieb Kranz
he also migrated to Australia 4 years after Friedrich with is wife Caroline Kranz (nee)Gunther
I do not know of any other brothers or sisters that came over to Australia as it seems that
communications from overseas was not really much.
They came over in 1849 on the ship "S.S. Pauline" (the 12th fleet ) on the 24th August 1849 at Bremerhaven .
Never Know maybe he was one of your Uncles or cousins . I am hoping that maybe I can trace back to their lives and families in Germany.
But as I know ALL KRANZ'S are related.
