Elizabeth,
I am the son of Richard Kranz, and the nephew of Joseph Kranz, and the nephew of Karen Balcerzak (Kranz), and the grandson of Robert Kranz and Midge Kranz, all of which who owe/work at the PJ Kranz Insurance company (founded in 1876) in Toledo today. I believe that PJ was my great grandpa's name but maybe he is my great, great, grandpa, either way he had passed on before I was born in 1976. See the posting from 5/28/98 titled Toledo, OH area Kranz's 1990's - Jon Kranz to see the names of everyone in the family (of course there are some new additions to the family since 1998).
BTW. My grandpa is the cousin of Gene Kranz, the NASA mission control head, who resides in Houston, TX still today. I actually went to Space Camp as a kid because of him. Almost all of my family still lives in the Toledo or lower Michigan area. My brother, Ben, and I are the only ones that moved away to Columbus, OH.
If you really want to ask the one who would know everything, you should call my grandpa or my dad at the insurance company's number 419-473-2416 or 2417 (some Kranz will answer the phone).
