Need help with parents of Gorgan Krammer (aka George Kramer), b. 1812-1817, Westphaila, Germany, living in Augusta, Georgia from 1845 to 1859; in Edgefield and Aiken counties, SC in 1860, 1870 & 1880.

Living in his household in 1860 is 70 year old female "F. Lotterman". "F. Lotterman" is not listed in 1870 census.

What was her relationship to the Kramer family? In 1880 the Kramers are living in Schulz Twp, Aiken County, SC. Gorgan(aka George Kramer)Krammer, b. 1812, arrived in U.S. from Westphalia in 1836. Citizenship Intent filed Augusta, GA, 14 Jan 1845. Gorgan/George Kramer received Citizenship papers, Augusta, GA, 1 July 1847.

George Kramer married Pauline, born ca. 1822 in Germany), and they had children: Louisa, b. 1847 in GA. Frank, b. 1849 in GA, Matilda, b. 1851 in GA, William, b. 1853 in GA, Theodore, b. 1858 in GA, Infant, b. 1859 in GA, and Anna, b. 1862, in GA. I need maiden name of George Kramer's wife, Pauline.

The Kramer sons, William and Theodore moved to Washington, Wilkes County, Georgia between 1870 - 1880. William was a baker and Theodore owned a grocery store. Their brother, Frank lived in Augusta with his maiden sister, Matilda. Neither ever married. I do not know what happened to Louisa (b. 1847). The unnamed infant, b. 1859, died young and so did Anna, b. 1862.

Need help with names of parents and siblings of Charles Lodtmann/Lottman, merchant tailor, living in Augusta, GA by 1840 (he is listed in census, with one female in household, both age 30/40). Is Charles Lodtmann related to female, age 70, named, "F. Lotterman", b. Germany, living 1860 Hamburg, Edgefield County, SC, in household of George Krammer?

Charles Lodtmann was mentioned in Augusta newspaper 1 Dec 1841 (Chronicle & Sentinel) in advertisement for tailoring business in partnership with Charles Ripley (expert cutter). They purchased stand located 208 Broad Street in Augusta.

The partnership was dissolved 5 May 1845 and Charles mentioned in his Ad that he traveled to New York to purchase new fabrics, plus hired a cutter, "Mr. Bradford of New York". In his Ad's he mentioned from time to time as having just arrived from New York. Charles Lodtmann is mentioned in his tailoring ads until 1846 in Augusta newspaper.

Listed in 1860 Hancock County, GA census: Charles Lodtmann, age 44, (b. ca. 1816) in Germany, occupation: tailor. Wife: "N", age 44, and female child, "G", age 7.
Is this same man?

I found in Maryland marriage records where a Charles Lodtmann married Milcah Gilbert, 21 May 1836, Baltimore, MD.

Any help appreciated.
