Gottlieb (The Old German) was my 4g-grandfather. He and most of his family removed from Montgomery Co. NY to the St. Lawrence Co. NY area @ 1830. Died in 1833. My line comes through Johann, John, Gotlieb(Godfrey), Alfred Seymour, Leland Walrath, and Alfred Seymour, my father... all Krakes, all born in the "north country" of NY state. All were farmers until Leland. My info about the early years and members is still quite sketchy.
