My Ulrich Krahenbuhl was born Eggiwil, Bern, SWT in 1705. He emigrated before 1750 to Lancaster Co, PA. He was a Mennonite. In 1751 he purchased land in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and relocated there for a while, but later moved back to Lancaster County due to Indian troubles. He signed his land in Virginia over to his sons, Christian and Jacob. Christian and Jacob's generation shows changes in the spelling of the family name to Grabill/Graybill/Krebiel/Crabill, etc.
Descendants of Ulrich Krahenbuhl end up in Kansas City, MO area by 1870. So my family research does not show a direct link to your family, but may have potential to be related back there a number of generations ago in SWT.
