Following is the information & notes I have collected. I hope someone can update, correct, and expand the info. I have here. Any help would be appreciated.
Descendants of John 2 Krahenbuhl Sr
First Generation
1.John 2 Krahenbuhl Sr,(1) son of John 1? Krahenbuhl and Anna Ulrich, was born
circa 1860 in Switzerland 1 and died circa Dec 1944 in Jackson Co, MO at
age 84.
Noted events in his life were:
*He appeared on the Old Leeds census in 1910 in Kansas City, Jackson Co.
MO.(2) on Tildea? St. house #40 dwl.#73, age 50, b. Germ. widow, immigr
date 1891( on 1930 census 1892 given as immig. date L.F.), speaks
Germ., gardener, truck farm, own prop. free of morg.
Children: John 15 b. MO, labor, farm worker; Minnie age 14; Lucy 7;
Adolph 6, all b. MO.
Note: January 1, 1892 - Ellis Island in New York harbor opened. Over 20
million new arrivals to America were processed until its closing in
1954.
*He appeared on the census from 1920 to 1930 in Kansas City, Jackson Co.
MO.(1) 1920 census: aged 60, b. Switz., parents b. Switz., all spoke
German, immigrated in 1892, natauralized in 1905. He was proprioitor
greenhouse. Wife Eliz. age 63 shows her birth & parents born in Switz
(on 1930 census they are listed as born in Germ.). and son Otto age 15
born MO, father b. Switz.
Year: 1920; Census Place: Kansas City Ward 14, Jackson, Missouri; Roll:
T625_929; Page: 1B; Enumeration District: 239; Image: 1146.
1930 census: aged 70, first married at 33 yrs of age, he and parents
born in Switz. Wife Elizabeth age 72, born in Germ., first married at
age 17, parents born in Germ.

L.F. note:Doubt this is our John but found a Gottfrid Krahenbuhl age
42, b. Switz.immig. in 1890, occup. collar cutter, wife Rosa 33, immig.
in 1893; children: Otto 5, Rosa 3, John 1 & Clara 3 months.
