Probably a longshot, but couldn't pass up the oppty. You mention that your Fred Koverman's mom was Maria Anna Sophia BOBERG.
Do you happen to have any more on her or her siblings? I've hit a dead end on my great, great grandfather, Caspar August Ludvig BOBERG, born 1843 in Sutthausen (outside of Osnabrueck). He is the son of Gosmiel BOBERG and Maria Elizabeth SEEGER, and he emigrated to the US, arriving in New York in August of 1866 before settling in Pittsburgh and raising a family there.
Does any of this ring a bell with your Boberg?
