Sorry to take so long to reply. The parents of Frantisek (Frank) George Kouba were George Kouba and Rosalie Novak. Frank (who went by the name of George most of the time) had one brother--George (I think they liked that name) who died in 1934. Frank died in 1917, Vining, Iowa. He married Frantiska (Frances) Laitkep 1870 in Valtinov, Moravia, Czech.. They moved to Russia where they lived for 18 years and all 6 children were born in Europe. One died in infancy in Czech. They came to Luzerne, IA in 1892 where they lived for 5 years before moving to Vining. They became US citizens in 1897. He was a carpenter and also kept beas. Their children were: Frank (my grandfather) born Nov. 20, 1880; Anna born 1872, Frances born 1877, Mary born 1883, Paul born 1886 and Joseph born 1879. We may have a distant relationship but I'm not sure. If I do find anything more, Ill let you know. Thanks for asking.
