My great great grandfather was named Chaim Kott. He was born near Bialystok, Poland, about 1850. He had 7 children: Aaron Zelig, Leah (married Mendle Weinberg), Faigle, Mindle, Devorah (married Mr. Kagan), Hershel(married Etta)and Lable.
Aaron Zelig Kott (born about 1870) was my great grandfather. He married Shayna Razel Safer. They had 5 children: 1. Chaim, 2. Shmuel, 3. Moishle, 4. Katie, and 5. Israel.
1. Chaim and 2. Shmuel went to Buenos Aires. 3. Moishle (married Basha), 4. Katie (married Benny Leib Gurevitz (Horwitz) and 5. Israel, (who became my grandfather), came to Toronto in the 1920's.
Israel married Rivka Miklaszka and had children Shayndle, Schmuel and Arthur.
1. Chiam married a woman named Mary, and had two children in Argentina a) Mottle and b)Shaina Rayzle. a) Mottle married a woman named Sophia and had 4 children in Argentina. I only know the name of the boy - Zelig. b) Shaina Rayzle married a man named Morris Zilberstein, and had two sons,Chiam and Beryl. They all eventually moved to Florida.
2. Shmuel married a woman named Chaika, and had three children - first a baby girl that did not survive, then two sons a) Shepsle and b) Peroto.
a) Shepsle married a woman named Aida and had 3 children, the first two
were twins. b) Peroto married, and had a boy and a girl.
I would love to hear from anyone who recognizes any of these names.
