I am not really a researcher, but I have been trying to see how far back I can find information on my ancesters. On my mother's side I cannot go any further back than my grandfather's parents - Fred and Delia (nee Breheney) Kott. Fred was born in Illinois in 1860 to German immigrants and his wife Delia was born in Galway Ireland in 1864. Mom remembers hearing that she came to the US as a teenager along with her sister. That sister happens to be the grandmother of June and Marilyn Taylor of the June Taylor Dancers. Marilyn later became the wife of Jackie Gleason. I have been unable to find any record of Delia before marrying Fred Kott. I also cannot trace Fred's parents. The children of Fred and Delia are Marguerite and Roy Frederick. Roy Frederick is my mother's father. Does anyone recognize this family?
