Hi Bonita,

Do you have a Frederick Koths in your line?
I have Koths from the Taylor, Michigan area in my tree, that I believe originally came from Germany (or Prussia?).

There is a Castle Garden website you can try if you think NY City was point of entry. Also "Germans to America" is a good reference book to check for immigration data.
