Looking for the Kost family in Butler, PA and Wittenburgh Germany. Urban Kost b. in Wittenburg has a son Benedict Kost born 1812 in Wittenburgh. Comes to Pennsylvania and marries Catherine Ott and then Victoria Kost.
Benedict Kost has two brothers: Pius and Joachim. Benedict Kost lived in Butler, PA first on McKean and Wayne Streets where he was a wagon maker. Then bought property on Ziegler Ave, Butler in 1853. Later sold most of the property to his son in law Martin Heim. Benedict and Victoria Kost where living in Pittsburgh in 1887. Benedict Kost had 9 children altogether, 3 sons and six daughters. I am descended from Victoria Hipp Kost and Benedict Kost. Any information on the Kost family of Butler, Pittsburgh and Wittenburg is greatly appreciated. Thanx. Mark Heim
