This is not my direct line but my records have this information. Mourning (STEPHENS) STEVENS WIGGINS married 16 Sep 1802 Wayne Co NC to George KORNEGAY II (2nd wife)(third husband).Mourning was widow of Willis WIGGINS, whose only dau Elizabeth WIGGENS married Jacob KORNEGAY s/o George II KORNEGAY. Mourning & George II had no issue. Mourning was said to have been a STEPHENS possible d/o Edward STEPHENS who left a will in Johnson Co NC Dec Court 1751. Mourning prob married a STEPHENS/STEVENS and had a dau Susannah STEVENS who married John CROW and moved to the Darlington Dist SC. A death date of 30 Aug 1815 for Mourning KORNEGAY was entered in Bible of John CROW Jr. The early deeds in Wayne Co NC give proof that Elizabeth's father was Willis Wiggins, and that Susannah CROW was Mourning KORNEGAY's dau.
