I am looking for ANY info on Berta/Bertha Korn b. abt 1890
in Germany, maybe in the Gelsenkirchen area. She married
Gottlieb Maintza/Maintzer in about 1910. they had 2 children
that I know of -
1. Hildagard Carola Maintzer
b. 27 Dec 1911 Beckhausen, Germany
m. 7 Oct 1931 Robert Henry Tansley in Detroit, MI
d. 30 Oct 1995 Sterling Hights, MI
2. Herbert Hildabrant Maintzer
b. 24 Dec 1913 Berkhausen?, Germany
m. Eula Ocepek in St. Smith, AR
d. 7 March 1977 San Francisco, CA
Berta and Gottlieb got divorced (I think) around 1925.
Gottlieb, Hildagard and Herbert came to America and she did
not. She stayed in Germany. I had heard that she did
remarry to a jewish man (Mr. Abdinghoff?) and either he allready
had a son or they had a son together. But they
(her husband & son) disapeared durning WWII.
I was told she had a sister, but don't know her name.
She died October 1973, in I think, Kirchlenteln, Germany.
She had lived with another family for some time befroe she died.
Any information is VERY helpful.
She was my great grandmother.
