Hello. I'm looking for anyone that may have served in the korean war with my grandfather. His name is Cecil Eugene Gardner. I have his DD214 paper but it is faded badly and I am not able to make a lot of it out.The date and place of entry into active service was Feb.20 1950 Cincinnati Ohio. His date of seperation was Aug.17 1953 to Camp Atterbury Indiana. Wounds were Right Lower Leg July 22 1952.Most significant duty assignment, co 198th TK BN.His service number RA15296900 PVT-2 (F)9NAR53 MA IKP.I'm not sure if the IKP is correct it is very faded on the form.I wish I knew more but that's why I'm here. My grandpa passed away on Oct.4 2008 in Liberty Indiana after a long battle with cancer. He was like a father to me as I spent 28 years of my life with him.I would greatly like to know if there is anyone out there that remembers him. Thanks so much.
