Resistance to talking about heritage
Posted by: Bonnie Harris (ID *****1147) Date: December 29, 2012 at 15:12:16

I have such a sad problem in researching the Korean heritage of my two granddaughters. Their Korean grandma, who has lived in the states for about 40 years, wont discuss with me her heritage. She and her family lived in a town that became part of North Korea, and I think she does not know what happened to her own parents. Anyway, Im being patient and would like to know if anyone has had this problem, and what I might do to encourage her to talk about it.
