Your information resembles mine. I am also from Daejeon, born in 1973 and was admitted to Holt from Bethel Garden. Bethel Garden is now called Bethelwon and is a home for physically challenged children. They have books and books of photos of children who were there during it's time as an orphanage. I was born approximately May 1973 and "found" in March 1974. Shipped to Holt two weeks later, put in a foster home and exported to the US in July 1974.

I don't know if you've contacted Holt for your adoption paperwork. I tried for 20 years and was continually told I had all the information they had. It wasn't until another adoptee, who lives in Korea and has been advocating for adoptee's right's to their complete files, reviewed my file and found I was missing several documents. When I asked for them by name, Holt Korea had them in a PDF file in my inbox the next morning.

I can help you or maybe we can see if we have some other commonalities. We are approximately the same age although you entered "the system" a little older than I did. Perhaps we're related?
