Edward Kopplin (Butcher)

My 3xgreat aunt Margaret Marriott of Halkyn, Flintshire, North Wales, UK married Edward Kopplin, a Butcher, in Halkyn Parish Church in December 1881 then both seemed to disappear.
Edward was the son of Henry, (who was deceased at the time of the marriage), and was not mentioned in the 1881 British census.
Family legend has it that we have a German connection and believe this could be it.
Any help in tracing the whereabouts of these people after 1881 and the ancestry of Edward would be greatly appreciated.
