Martha J. Rose
BELLA VISTA AR-- Martha Jane Rose, 91, of Bella Vista, Arkansas,died Nov. 9, 2005, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was born June 16, 1914, in Ursina, Penn., to James Franklin Koontz and Nancy Matthews Koontz. She was educated in the Ursina and Confluence (Penn.) public schools and graduated from the Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing in Dayton, Ohio in 1935 to become a registered nurse. She married Donald L. Rose in 1937. She moved with her husband to Bella Vista in 1974. She was a member of the Bella Vista Community Church, the Bella Vista Women's Club, the Bella Vista Women's 9-Hole Golf Association, the Bates Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary, the Bates Development Association and the Arkansas Republican Women's Association. She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 10, 2004.
Survivors include one son, William Donald Rose and wife Carolyn of Dallas; a daughter, Nancy Kathryn Harling and husband John of Tucson, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bella Vista Community Church with the Rev. Richard Lindman officiating. Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home in Bella Vista.
